At the beginning of 80mile beach we plan a
stop to look for more shells, and try to catch a thread-fin salmon. Lots of
people are lining up along the surf at low tide. A nurse shark shows up but not
much luck with the fish today, only undersized Threadfin Salmon..
The shells are bigger and better here and there are countless sand dollars as well. The campsite next to the day-park area is a nice place, we get to empty the small black water tank from the Apollo and walk into a Sunday-market with craft and kitsch. Pieter finds a pendant for Els –a lovely stone from lake Argyle- and decides to surprise her with it. How lovely.
